Pelindo III To Build Modern Passenger Terminal
JAKARTA: PT Pelindo III to build new modern passenger terminal in January 2013 to increase passenger capacity in Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya.
The construction phase I is scheduled to begin in January 2013 and to be completed by the end of 2013.
The total area of passenger terminal reached 16,500 m2 with 4,000 people capacity.
PT Pelindo III Head of Public Relation Edi Priyanto said the terminal construction will divided into two stages and the estimated cost for the construction approximately reached IDR300 billion.
The second phase construction is planned to begin in 2014. It will include the construction of Syahbandar office centers, port authority, Pelindo maritime business, mall and apartment.
Edi explained the estimation fund to build terminal construction phase I reached IDR66 billion. The terminal will consist of three floors for passenger ships and four-story building use for pilot station.
On the other hand, the Auction Commissions on Tuesday (12/11) has decided PT Hutama Karya as the preferred bidder of terminal construction phase I
