Pelindo III Prepares 13 Passengers Terminal To Anticipate Eid Ul-Fitr
SURABAYA: PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III prepared at least 13 passenger terminals in seven provinces with 14.120 people capacities to anticipate Eid ul-Fitr holiday 2012.
PT Pelindo III Public Relation Manager Edi Priyanto said is has monitored the preparedness on 13 passengers terminals located in the main port managed by the state-owned harbor sector company.
“Those 13 passenger terminals with 14.120 people capacity have stated its readiness to facilitate the lebaran holiday including its facility on health posts,” he said on Thursday, (8/9/2012).
Edi explained so far the company has been operating 43 ports in seven provinces namely Central Java, East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan.
Sampit Branch General Manager of Pelindo III Abdul Rofid Fanani stated the passenger terminal in Sampit port has been prepared to facilitate people using ship transportation during Eid ul-Fitr holiday season.
“The capacity are quite large, up to 1,500 passengers, the condition has also been improved to be more comfort,” Rofid told Bisnis, today (8/9).
Those 13 passenger terminals are Tanjung Perak Port with three terminals namely Garapura, Gapura Nusantara, and Roro terminal with 3,200 people capacity, Tanjung Emas passenger terminal has 2,500 people capacity.
