“Nikolay Bauman” ship sank 12 miles off the Danube delta

 

On Mar 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. the “Nikolay Bauman” sank 12 miles off the Danube delta. 11 people were rescued by Ukrainian Maritime Emergency and were sent to hospital in Vilkovo. The crew members were 1 from Russia and 10 from Ukraine.
Ingress of water into the fore holds is why the ship had troubles. The captain made efforts to safe the vessel but without success.

The ship is on approximately 15 metres under the water.
