Humpuss Operates 17 Tugs and Boats in Eastern Indonesia

 

JAKARTA—Marine transportation service provider PT Humpuss Intermodal operated 17 sets of tugs and barges until mid-semester II/2013 with the operation of transporting eastern Indonesia mining commodities.

Humpuss Intermoda Finance and Administration Director Budi Haryono said the barge is operated to support the availability of Indonesian-flagged vessels in transporting domestic coal in addition to support the company’s improved financial performance.

“So far there have been 17 sets [tugs and barges] which procured through the new development as a form of rejuvenation. Moreover, our business partners want ships which produced in 2005 or later to ensure the transport efficiency and readiness online pokies real money,” he said, Thursday (9/19/2013).

According to him, the 17 sets of tugs and barges operation to transport mining commodities is relatively small given that it is not the company’s main business.

Meanwhile, the latest barge was brought in early second semester of this year with worth up to IDR30 billion with a capacity of 300 feet.

Budi said that the cabotage principle implementation by the government also continues to be a positive stimulus for the development of the company’s business which has major business lines in supplying domestic vessels to transport LNG. (aph)
