BELAWAN PORT: Ships’ Visit Rose

 

MEDAN: Ships’ visit to Belawan International Container Terminal (BICT) per August increased to 40 calls than July position at 33 calls.

Ships’ visits to international and national docks in August rose when compared to July 2012, said BICT Assistant Manager for Public Relation and Legal Suratman.

“Unloading mostly occurred at inter-islands while uploading mostly at international ports for exporting agricultural commodities from the area,” he said on Monday (10/1/2012).

Throughout January-August, only in March and August that noted 40 calls ships’ visit while in January only 39 calls, February 38 calls, April 36 calls, May 39 calls and June 38 call.

As stated on company’s work and budget plan (RKAP) in 2012, management is eyeing 471 calls to BICT. Per August, ships’ visits have reached 313 calls. (T05/TW)
