The Increase In Loading and Unloading Cost Plan In Priok Approved
JAKARTA—The Increase in container handling charges (CHC) plan at Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT), TPK Koja, and Mustika Alam Lestari Terminal (MAL) at Port of Tanjung Priok claimed has been approved by the association of service user.
Secretary of Indonesian Container Terminal Business Association (APTPI) Paul Krisnadi said there is a plan to increase the unloading service tariff for export and import container at the busiest container terminal in Indonesia.
“There was discussion about the increase in CHC and has been approved by all the associations of service users. However, the implementation is still discussed,” he told Bisnis, Monday (13/5/2014).
Paul, who are also the General Manager of MAL Terminal, didn’t mentioned how many percent will be the increase of CHC at ports of Priok. “It will be announce soon if we got the certainty,” he said.
At this time, the owner of good put in Tanjung Priok still have to pay the loading and unloading tariff for International container named terminal handling charges (THC).

For the 20 feet container in full container load (FCL) condition they have to pay as much as US$95 per box, with details US$83 for CHC and US$12 for surcharge.
Meanwhile for the 40 feet container will be charges US$145 per box for THC consists of US$124 for CHC and US$21 for surcharge.
Based on information collected by Bisnis, the business association in ports of Tanjung Priok who followed the discussion and approve the CHC increase in Priok Container Terminal said the amount of maximum increase approved was 10% from the existing CHC.
