Terex Port Solutions to supply port cranes to Indonesian Meratus Line
(SeeNews) – Sep 11, 2013 – Terex Port Solutions, part of US machinery products maker Terex (NYSE:TEX), will supply handling equipment to Indonesian port operator Meratus Line Group.
Terex will deliver four ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and three electrical rubber-tired gantry (E-RTG) cranes to Meratus Line’s container terminal at Jakarta’s Tanjung Priok Port. The STS cranes, manufactured in Xiamen, China, are outfitted with a self-propelled trolley. They feature a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes under the spreader and waterside outreach of 42 m (137.8 ft). The volume pills gnc cranes will be operated by Meratus Line’s subsidiary PT Mitra Sentosa Abadi which manages the group’s terminal business at the port.
Further, Meratus Line will receive three E-RTGs for its terminal business at East Java’s Port of Surabaya. The group’s subsidiary PT Mitra Dharma Laksana is responsible for the operations at Surabaya
Delivery is scheduled for end-2014.
Meratus Line plans to become a long-term customer of Terex Port Solutions, according Maurizio Altieri, managing director of Terex’s Xiamen location.
