Teluk Lamong, Gaussin Develop Terminal Authority
SURABAYA – PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) cooperates with Gaussin SA to develop terminal authority. The cooperation of both port business players is held to anticipate the automatization of infrastructure and logistic operational performance needed to boost economy.
TTL CEO, Prasetyadi, said the port automatization joint venture is also conducted for assembling, commercialization, marketing, equipment distribution di TTL in form of automated terminal tractor (ATT) and docking system.
“The cooperation makes Terminal Teluk Lamong into an early point of Indonesian automatic port. The automization ability is appropriate to be implemented in port technology, logistic warehouse, and aitport,” he said in his written statement on Tuesday (1/13).
Equipment automization conducted by TTL is facilitated with software transportation management system so it can add the speed and accuracy during operational process. With the more sophisticated system and equipment, TTL can implement its commitment to be semi-automatic terminal in Indonesia.
“With the execution of this cooperation, Pelindo III’s vision to make terminals with zero waiting time can be realized and expected to accelerate service process,” he explained.
On the other hand, the cooperation between TTL and Gaussin SA has been conducted in Pelindo III Main Office on December, 30th 2014 and the advanced cooperation was signed by Pelindo III CEO, Djarwo Surjanto; TTL CEO, Prasetyadi; and Gaussin President Director, Christope Gaussin. The letter of intent is the beginning of automatization and simulation test for Teluk Lamong Terminal. Automatization is expected to improve working productivity and safety in terminal.
In March 2013, Pelindo III and Gaussin were recorded to initiate cooperation by supplying 50 lift diesel automated terminal tractors (ATT) and its docking stations. Those equipment currently have been operated in Teluk Lamong Terminal, Surabaya.
Meanwhile, TTL is Pelindo III’s subsidiary and Gaussin Manugistique is a French handling and logistic engineering company working on four significantly-growing markets such as energy, transportation, environment, and raw materials with referential portfolio such as DP World, CAT, Exxonmobil Chemical, Thyssen Krup, AKZO Nobel, and many more.
