AG (ETR:HMU) said Monday it had sold its port operations in Indonesia for an undisclosed sum.
Confidentiality has been agreed on the details of the sale contract, the company said.
The sale of the port business and the respective services contract in Indonesia marked the completion of the company’s business repositioning. Now, HMS Bergbau is focused only on trading and marketing in the coal sector.
The company said the proceeds from the transaction will boost its liquidity and enable it to achieve important strategic goals.
The bulk of the fresh funds will be invested in Asia and Africa, especially for marketing agreements with coal producers. These agreements are aimed at creating and maintaining long-term relationships with customers and suppliers in the region.
