Seagas- The World’s First LNG Fueling Vessel

The world’s first Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) fueling vessel – Seagas was christened last week at the Port of Stockholm. The first-of-its-kind vessel in the world, the LNG fueling vessel is classified under the same regulations that apply to ocean going LNG tankers.

The LNG fueling vessel will supply 60-70 tons of LNG to M/S Viking Grace, the new cruise ship of Viking Lines. The whole fueling process takes less than an hour and is done from ship-to-ship through a completely new way of bunkering fuel.
