Samudera sells two vessels

Singapore: Indonesian shipowner Samudera Shipping Line Ltd has announce that the group has sold 3,426 dwt chemical tanker, Sinar Bunyu, and 350 dwt oil barge unit, Cumawis 110.

The company, which has over 50 vessels in the fleet, said that the sales are in line with the groups strategy to maintain a balanced business portfolio.

Samudera issued a profit warning back in July, citing lower freight rates and charter rates as a result of an oversupply of vessels in the three main sectors it covers, regional container shipping, domestic Indonesian container shipping and dry bulk.
