Pelindo III Earns IDR8 Billion From Cruise Ship Stopovers
JAKARTA: PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III) managed to earn IDR8 billion revenue until the last week of this year from the number of cruise ship visits during 2012.
The Company’s spokeperson Edi Prayitno said the revenue includes anchoring services, mooring, tug boats, water boats, pontoon supply, and passengers passage in Pelindo III port area.
“So far, the revenue is around IDR8 billion but it is likely to increase until we close the consolidation from all of our ports until the year end,” he told Bisnis, Sunday (23/12).
He added the revenue could increase considering that two cruise ships will visit Benoa port in Bali at the end of 2012.
The cruise ships are transporting passengers who will stay and celebrate New Year Eve 2013 in Bali.
The number of cruise ship visit in Pelindo III ports continues to increase each year.
Edi said there were 57 ships in 2010 and then rose to 76 ships in 2011. Up to now, Pelindo III has been visited by more than 86 cruise ship
