Pelindo Awards Container Supply Contract to Konecranes
JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Finnish company Konecranes Oyj has signed an agreement with state-owned terminal operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III to deliver container handling equipment at Lamong Bay Terminal in Surabaya, East Java.
The order comprises of 10 Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, 20 Automated Stacking Cranes (ASC) and 5 Straddle Carriers (SC). Delivery is scheduled for 2014 and 2016. The value of the order is not disclosed, but estimated to reach above EUR 100 million.
The new Lamong Bay Terminal is planned to be inaugurated by 2014.
