Oil Tanker Explodes in Chinese Shipyard, 7 Dead
An Indian oil tanker undergoing repairs at a shipyard in eastern China exploded and caught fire on Tuesday, killing seven Chinese workers.
The workers were repairing the ship when the explosion occurred at Haizhou Shipyard in the port city of Zhoushan. There was no report of an oil spill.
An open flame reportedly triggered the blast, but the official cause is under investigation.
The ship has a capacity of 50,000 tons of oil, although reports claim it had been unloaded before the accident took place.
