At Least 1 Dead After 2 Cargo Ships Collide in East China

Chinese buoys installed for “maritime weather observations” near disputed islands in control of Japan raised again the tension between the 2 countries.

Japan reacted and asked an explanation from Japan for these buoys which were installed very close to the Japanese waters boundary near the East China Sea islands named Senkaku by Japan.

Some people from Japan assumed that China wants to detect the movement of Japanese submarines.

Chinese Foreign Ministry explained that the buoys are for maritime weather observations.

The dispute between the two countries is for the control of the islands and the conflict become serious after Japan purchased 3 of 5 islands in the group from private owners 5 months ago. Beijing in other hand explains that the islands have been Chinese for decades.
